In 2009, Aston Martin caused a sensation with a certain V12 Vantage, “a bold model perfectly representing British madness, mechanical thrill, and the visual emotion one expects from such a marque.” By combining the largest engine in the range, borrowed from the DBS, with the compact Vantage chassis, Aston Martin delighted its fans at the launch of this model.

But to reach even greater heights, Aston Martin later decided to release two even more exclusive versions known as the “Carbon Black Edition.” Available on both the Aston Martin V12 Vantage and the DBS, this special edition introduced numerous enhancements, starting with an exceptionally sophisticated black color named “AML Carbon Black,” specially created for the occasion and requiring nearly 50 hours of hand craftsmanship. This deep black shade is further enhanced by the extensive use of carbon fiber options, both inside and out, available in the catalog.

Both models share distinctive painted alloy wheels finished in gloss black with silver-edged rims. The V12 Vantage also stands out with its gloss black air grilles and a parking assistance system that was normally offered as an option.

Inside, elegance continues with a specific black leather and Alcantara trim, an anodized or piano black lacquered center console, as featured on this Vantage. Attention to detail is further elevated by the integration of a 700 W premium audio system, a true signature of British luxury.

Under the hood, the 6.0-liter V12 produces 517 horsepower and 570 Nm of torque, allowing this beast to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds and reach a top speed of 305 km/h. The manual gearbox, a highly sought-after rarity, delivers a pure and immersive driving experience, making this car even more desirable for true driving enthusiasts.

Despite the additional weight of the V12, Aston Martin managed to maintain excellent balance through extensive use of carbon fiber, even in the driveshaft. With a 51:49 weight distribution, the V12 Vantage Carbon Black combines dynamic handling and road comfort, a rare achievement for a car of such performance.

Produced in approximately 1,200 units, this limited edition represents one of the most iconic automotive formulas, and one that will likely never be reproduced at this price point. This V12 is a true collector car, embodying a bygone era when raw mechanics and manual gearboxes still reigned supreme.
