R 'Le Mans' edition, very rare & superb condition!

This very limited-production Bentley was delivered on the 24th of August in 2001 through Auto König in Anzing bei München, Germany. The car remained in München for a while before it went to Hannover. In 2016, the car was acquired by the current Dutch owner – who took great care of it. It is clear that no expenses have been spared and that this ‘Le Mans edition’ is in as good condition as it can be. Please take a look at theimpressive and complete service history:

The current mileage is 44.355km, only a few km since the last service. In 2021, the belts were replaced at 42.128km and in 2024 the oil was changed. The car comes with its original books and all Dutch invoices and some from the German period. The car is in superb condition; both mechanically and cosmetically. No accidents in the past and crash free.

In 2016 the Bentley was repainted in the fantastic and original Bentley colour ‘Light Emerald Metallic’. The owner preferred this elegant colour over its original silver – which we can understand. The paint has been glass-coated (Swisstec Royal) by Bentley Leusden and the car has covered less than 6.000km since, so the paintwork is still in top condition!

In 2019 Bentley had this specific car on display during its Bentley Centenary Dinner in the Netherlands and the car was also on display upon delivery of a new Continental GT ‘Le Mans’. Furthermore this car was inspected twice (2016 and 2021) during service clinics where an official Bentley trainer-mechanic trained Bentley Benelux mechanics.

The 2001 Bentley Continental R Coupé ‘Le Mans Edition’ is the real gentleman’s express. The Le Mans Editions were launched to celebrate Bentley’s return to the iconic 24 Hours of Le Mans with the Bentley Speed 8. The Continental R and T were not the only cars to wear this prestigious name; the Arnage and Azure also carried the designation. The Le Mans series is very exclusive. Only 34 left hand drive European cars were produced. It features many details as green faced instruments, special wheels and 4 tail pipe exhaust necessary for the high speeds this car is capable of. It was also hugely expensive; you could buy a nice villa instead of this car.

With just 44.355 km, the 6.75 litre V8 Turbo has hardly been run in. Straight from 10 years single ownership and ready to be desired!
