With its clean, timeless lines, innovative vertically retracting doors and the legendary inline-six engine derived from the BMW E30 generation, the BMW Z1 remains one of the most technically fascinating and collectible modern classics ever produced by BMW. Production was limited to approximately 8,000 units worldwide, of which only around 500 were equipped with a factory hardtop, further underlining the rarity of this configuration.
