Fahrzeugbeschreibung

  • Verified 1953 Mille Miglia participant
  • Registered in the official Registro Mille Miglia
  • Prepared and ready to cover any distance
This charming Fiat 500 C “Topolino” is one of those rare machines that connects you directly to the golden era of Italian motoring. Built in 1950 and officially registered as a Mille Miglia Participant Car, it took part in the 1953 Mille Miglia, proudly wearing start number 19 and driven by Italo Poggioli and Giuseppe Bergami.
The Fiat 500 “Topolino” was Italy’s first true people’s car. Designed by the brilliant Dante Giacosa, it was created to put post-war Italy back on the road: small, light, affordable, and full of character. Its nickname “Topolino”, meaning little mouse, came from its rounded shape and friendly face that reminded everyone of Mickey Mouse. It became a symbol of optimism and ingenuity, a car that embodied Italy’s rebirth after the war.
This particular example, the final C-series, captures all that charm and adds genuine motorsport pedigree. It still features its correct 569 cc four-cylinder engine, rear-wheel-drive layout and folding soft top, perfect for reliving the open-air magic of the Mille Miglia. Technically it is in excellent condition, fully maintained and ready to drive any distance with confidence. Every system works exactly as it should, and the car presents beautifully both mechanically and cosmetically.
What truly makes this Topolino special is its soul. Its early start number in the 1953 Mille Miglia meant leaving Brescia at sunrise, surrounded by the world’s most legendary sports cars, driving through cheering crowds and narrow Italian villages before most of Italy had even had breakfast. It is that once-in-a-lifetime feeling!
Fully certified by the Registro 1000 Miglia and accompanied by its FIVA Identity Card, BEHVA approval and Belgian registration, this Topolino is ready to be re-entered in future Mille Miglia editions. It is the perfect entry point for anyone dreaming of joining the most beautiful race in the world, or simply enjoying the romantic simplicity of post-war Italian motoring.
Because what could possibly be more satisfying than taking this very car back to its birthplace, back onto the roads of Italy, to write another chapter in its story? This is a get-in-and-drive-the-rally-of-your-life car.
