Iconisch en stijlvol, dat is zonder twijfel kenmerkend voor de Jaguar MK2. Het is niet voor niets nog steeds een zeer populaire klassieke auto. Dat is niet alleen te danken aan het stijlvolle ontwerp, maar ook zeker aan de bijzonder comfortabele rijeigenschappen van deze Britse klassieker. De Jaguar MK2 werd geproduceerd van 1959 tot 1967 en is in zeer grote aantallen geproduceerd. De auto werd geleverd met drie motoren, waarvan deze 3,4 liter (beter bekend als de 340).

Oorspronkelijk is deze, in 1967 geproduceerde Jaguar MK2 340 geleverd in het Verenigd Koninkrijk en in 1993 in Nederland gekomen. Bij deze auto zijn ook verschillende historische documenten aanwezig, zowel uit Engeland als uit Nederland. De Jaguar MK2 is voorzien van een stijlvolle middengrijs metallic met prachtig rood lederen interieur. Wat ons betreft, de perfecte kleurencombinatie. De carrosserie is in redelijk goede conditie, al zijn er op verschillende plekken wel ouderdomssporen te zien. Ook het chroomwerk is over het algemeen in redelijk goede conditie en er zijn op een aantal chroom- en sierdelen ouderdomssporen zichtbaar. Dit is ook van toepassing op de verschillende rubberdelen en afwerkingen. De stijlvolle spaakvelgen vormen een prachtige combinatie bij deze schitterende carrosseriekleur.

Het roodlederen interieur is nog in uitzonderlijk goede conditie. De stoelen en achterbank zitten niet alleen comfortabel en zijn ook nog in goede staat. Het houtwerk is in redelijke conditie en vertoont patina sporen. De tellers en instrumenten zijn in goede en mooie conditie. De hemelbekleding is nog origineel en in goede conditie.

Deze Jaguar MK2 rijdt en schakelt bijzonder goed en heeft recent nog zeer groot onderhoud gehad (factuur aanwezig voor meer dan € 8.000,00). De remmen voelen stevig en goed aan en ook de stuurinrichting werkt goed en naar behoren. Voor een optimale koeling is er in het verleden een extra elektrische koelvin gemonteerd. Verder is de auto ook voorzien van een DEFA alarminstallatie.

This Jaguar MK2 drives and shifts exceptionally well and has recently undergone a major service (invoice available for over €8,000.00). The brakes feel firm and good, and the steering works well and properly. For optimal cooling, an additional electric cooling fan was installed in the past. The car is also equipped with a DEFA alarm system.
