1.8 Roadster Overdrive

De MGB is niet alleen een erg solide en betrouwbare klassieke roadster, maar ook nog eens erg makkelijk te rijden. Tel daar het stijlvolle ontwerp bij op, en je hebt een heerlijke Britse cabriolet, die zowel in onderhoud als in aanschaf erg aantrekkelijk is. En dat is zeker van toepassing op deze schitterende, in 1970 geproduceerde MGB in een bijzondere en stijlvolle kleur Teal Blue. Oorspronkelijk is deze auto geleverd in de Verenigde Staten en in 1998 in Nederland gekomen. En sindsdien is er zeer goed voor deze auto gezorgd.

Het is al wat langer geleden dat deze prachtige MGB Roadster is gerestaureerd. Waarschijnlijk heeft deze auto begin jaren 90 een volledige restauratie ondergaan. En daarna is de auto met zeer veel liefde en zorg onderhouden. Dat is niet alleen zichtbaar aan de verschillende onderhoudsfacturen die bij de auto aanwezig zijn, maar vooral aan de auto zelf. Uiteraard zijn er door de tijd heen gebruikerssporen ontstaan, maar de auto is nog steeds in zeer goede en eerlijke staat. De carrosserie is in zeer goede en harde conditie en de stijlvolle kleur Teal Blue heeft een diepe glans. Ook de verschillende chroom- en sierdelen zijn nog in glanzende en goede conditie. Dit is ook van toepassing op de verschillende rubberdelen en afwerkingen. Het stijlvolle verchroomde kofferrek is niet alleen een praktische accessoire, maar is ook prachtig om te zien. Datzelfde geldt voor de mooie verchroomde spaakvelgen die op de auto zijn gemonteerd. De cabrioletkap is in gebruikte maar goede conditie. Deze MGB is in 1970 geproduceerd en daarmee een van de weinige exemplaren met een zogenoemde ‘split’ achterbumper.

Het interieur is nog in zeer goede en nette staat. De stoelen zitten bijzonder comfortabel en ook het dashboard is in goede staat. De instrumenten werken naar behoren en zowel de vloerbekleding als de skailederen stoelen zijn in zeer nette conditie. De verschillende chroom- en sierdelen zijn in goede staat en dit geldt ook voor de rubberdelen en afwerkingen. Deze prachtige MGB is overigens ook voorzien van een overdrive, wat net even iets meer comfort geeft op langere afstanden of hogere snelheden.

Onder de motorkap ligt een keurig verzorgde motorruimte. Deze MGB heeft verschillende technische updates ondergaan, zoals een elektronische ontsteking, KenLow ventilatie en een extra oliekoeler. Kortom, verschillende updates voor meer bedrijfszekerheid. Deze MGB rijdt overigens bijzonder goed en soepel en ook de remmen voelen stevig en goed aan. De auto stuurt bijzonder soepel en dit maakt deze MGB tot een zeer vriendelijke en toegankelijke rijdersauto.

Originally, this car was delivered in the United States and arrived in the Netherlands in 1998. And since then, this car has been very well cared for.

It has been quite some time since this beautiful MGB Roadster was restored. This car likely underwent a full restoration in the early 1990s. Since then, the car has been maintained with great love and care. This is not only visible in the various maintenance invoices included with the car, but especially in the car itself. Naturally, signs of wear have appeared over time, but the car is still in very good and honest condition. The bodywork is in very good and solid condition, and the stylish Teal Blue color has a deep sheen. The various chrome and trim parts are also still in shiny and good condition. This MGB was produced in 1970, making it one of the few examples with a so-called ‘split’ rear bumper.

The interior is still in very good and neat condition. The seats are particularly comfortable, and the dashboard is also in good condition. The instruments work properly, and both the floor carpeting and the faux leather seats are in very neat condition. The various chrome and trim parts are in good condition, and this also applies to the rubber parts and finishes. Incidentally, this beautiful MGB is also equipped with an overdrive, which provides just that little bit more comfort on longer distances or at higher speeds.
