504 pick up with cover. Very rare!

Wanneer zag u hem voor het laatst? De iconische Peugeot 504 pick-up die zelfs in Frankrijk zeldzaam is geworden. Geliefd als onverwoestbare alleskunner die tot in alle uithoeken van de wereld zijn diensten heeft bewezen. Waarschijnlijk de enige in Nederland, dus uiterst zeldzaam en ook nog met een mooie historie. De huidige Nederlandse eigenaar is een wijninkoper die de 504 rechtstreeks kocht van de 1ste eigenaar, wijnboer Bernard Santé (what’s in a name) uit La Chapelle. Naast de liefde voor mooie wijn ging het gesprek over zijn naderende pensioen. Dus het afscheid nemen van zijn bedrijf en zijn trouwe Peugeot. Daarom bood de wijninkoper aan om de charmante 504 over te nemen.

De buitenzijde heeft uiteraard gebruikssporen, maar waar nodig is het goed bijgehouden in de loop der jaren. Dankzij de diverse Franse apk formulieren zien we dat er diverse zaken zijn aangepakt. Ook in Nederland is de roest bestreden, maar het is een werkpaard, dus verwacht uiteraard geen showroom conditie. Dankzij het gebruik op en rond de wijnboerderij is de km stand slechts 81.350 km! Het interieur is ook erg netjes, de beige kunstleren bekleding is in het verleden vernieuwd en ziet er dus prima uit. Het klassieke Peugeot stuur staat veel mooier dan het originele stuur. Alle instrumenten werken zoals het hoort. Te koop van particulier, bezichtiging op afspraak.

De 504 was de auto van het jaar in 1969. Deze Franse Mercedes stond technisch ver boven de andere middenklasse concurrenten. De sedan en stationcar waren toen de best verkochte middenklasse auto's in Europa en de pick up in Afrika en Zuid Amerika. die als pick-up geproduceerd werd zowel in Afrika als Zuid-Amerika. The current Dutch owner is a wine buyer who purchased the 504 directly from the first owner, winegrower Bernard Santé (what’s in a name) from La Chapelle. As well as their shared love of fine wine, the conversation turned to his impending retirement – and so, to saying goodbye to his business and his trusty Peugeot. That’s why the wine buyer offered to take over the charming 504.
The exterior looks neat and the bodywork has been well maintained over the years. Thanks to the various French MOT certificates, we can see that a number of issues have been addressed. Rust has also been tackled here in the Netherlands, but it is a workhorse, so naturally, don’t expect showroom condition. For sale by private owner, viewings by appointment.

The 504 was Car of the Year in 1969. This ‘French Mercedes’ was technically far superior to its other mid-range competitors. The saloon and estate were the best-selling mid-range cars in Europe at the time, whilst the pick-up was the best-seller in Africa and South America. It was produced as a pick-up in both Africa and South America.
